Two Men, Woman Accused Of Running CT Drug Factory

Three people were arrested on alleged drug and gun charges following the execution of search warrants at two locations in Connecticut.

Chauncey Christian, age 43, Beth Quinones, age 42, and Angel Rivera-Reyes, age 30, all of Waterbury, were arrested on Thursday, March 4,  following an investigation into narcotics sales in the area of Willow Street in Waterbury, said Sgt. Robert Davis.

During the searches, officers seized one silver Taurus 1911 .45 caliber ACP handgun with seven live rounds in the magazine, one silver EIG Derringer .38 caliber Special containing two live rounds, one Galls bulletproof vest, 6.6 grams of crack cocaine, 0.3 grams of cocaine, 11.9 ounces of marijuana, fifteen Suboxone film strips, and $1,566 in cash, Davis said.

Quinones is a convicted felon from a kidnapping and assault conviction in 1999. He was also convicted of a robbery in 200, police said.

Quinones was charged with the following;

  • Possession of marijuana with intent to sell
  • Possession of narcotics with intent to sell
  • Possession of a controlled substance with intent to sell
  • Operating a drug factory
  • Criminal possession of body armor
  • Criminal possession of a firearm and ammunition
  •  Criminal possession of a pistol or revolver
  • Illegal sale or transfer of a firearm
  • Illegal possession near a school zone

Christian was charged with;

  • Possession of marijuana with intent to sell
  • Possession of narcotics with intent to sell
  • Possession of a controlled substance with intent to sell

Operating a drug factory

Rivera-Reyes was charged with the following;

  • Interfering with a search warrant
  • Possession of drug paraphernalia.
  • Warrant for FTA 1 st ($25,000 Bond)

Christian’s bond was set at $100,000. Quinones was held on $500,000 surety bond. Rivera-Reyes was held on a $5,000 surety bond for his charges in addition to the warrant for failure to appear.
